Energy Savings of Up To 40%???
The ZigBee wireless environmental automation system is enabling the hospitality industry and other facilities to eliminate energy waste and slash energy costs up to 40 percent.
Based on our custom development , the EAI Environmental Management System uses Ember’s ZigBee wireless "mesh" networking technology to let property owners automate and control the energy efficiency of every room, without compromising the comfort of occupants. ZigBee is a global wireless industry standard designed for remote monitoring, control and sensor networks.

EAI yields huge savings by dramatically reducing wasteful electric and fuel consumption of HVAC systems. And since it’s wireless, EAI can be retrofitted easily and affordably into existing buildings.
EAI has proven its value to the Westmont Hospitality Group, one of the world’s largest privately held hospitality organizations. Westmont is saving energy with EAI in several of its Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn properties in the Toronto area, and is evaluating a nationwide roll out to its other properties. When complete, Westmont expects to save more than $2.2 million in energy costs per year. This equates to 14,678 megawatt hours of electricity — enough energy to power 2,332 households yearly — and will eliminate 12,500 metric tons of coal-generated carbon dioxide emissions, making a significant, positive environmental impact.

Today’s digital thermostats are far more efficient than their analog predecessors, providing intelligent, precise control of HVAC equipment. Converting to digital thermostats however is usually a difficult process. Analog thermostats used four-wire connections while digital thermostats use five. This means running new wires, or even tearing out walls to put in conduits where required by law. For high-voltage equipment such as baseboard heaters, digital thermostats can be hard to find and expensive. With the EAI wireless digital thermostat, no additional wiring is needed, and as no high-voltage power is run through the unit, it can be used safely for any application.
The EAI Control Center gives hotel managers complete flexibility in creating custom schedules for every area of their property. Common areas can be scheduled to conserve energy during off hours, or adapt to seasonal changes in weather and lighting conditions. Meeting rooms can be scheduled for occupancy in advance. Guest rooms can be set back during the day or overnight.

When EAI is connected to a hotel’s reservations system, it can control energy use as guests check in and check out. EAI will reset thermostats in vacant rooms even if cleaning staff change setting during vacancy. The charts shown here are from a recent trial of the EAI system in a major hotel franchise, and demonstrate the difference in energy consumption between a regular hotel room and a EAI-enhanced room as they undergo an equal period of occupancy. The EAI-enhanced room can be seen to maximize energy savings during vacancies.

As the EAI Control Center accumulates history for each device and room, it is able to detect changes in the efficiency of your HVAC equipment, such as the time a heating unit takes to warm a room.
The EAI Energy Management System will alert your staff of an inefficient appliance which would otherwise have continued to waste energy unnoticed. This functionality is not available from other energy management systems without central control.
